Recently, we added to our repertoire of cutting-edge electronic test equipment and installed the CableEye HVX System – an advanced high-voltage cable/harness testing machine engineered by CAMI Research Inc. Additionally, we upgraded the system with CAMI’s Advanced Measurement Option system to provide even more precise and efficient quality control solutions.

Upgraded Advanced Measurement Option
The enhanced Advanced Measurement Option installed on our high-voltage test system provides five times the 2-wire resistance resolution compared to the standard machine’s already-impressive capabilities. With precise 20mΩ wire resistance resolution, this enhanced system enables Electro Systems to streamline the performance-testing of wire pair capacitance, twisted pair testing, capacitors and custom electronic designs requiring carefully optimized cable lengths.

Our new HVX-21 High-Voltage Test System checks your components for mis-wires, shorts, opens, as well as the wire resistance limits.
The system functions by applying a customizable voltage level to each connection group
within the cable or wire system. The selectable voltage level can range anywhere from 10 V to the maximum DC/AC voltage of the system. Other finely customizable parameters include:
- Ramp Up / Ramp Down
- Trip Delay (Soak Time)
- Trip Current
- Dwell Time (Test Time)
Additionally, real-time leakage current is analyzed during the high-voltage phase of testing which provides our technicians with a reliable measure of insulation quality. A level of leakage current that exceeds the selected voltage limit suggests there is flux, moisture or some other type of contamination on the component’s exposed contacts.
